Volkswagen UK commissioned an illustration for their summer campaign. I worked under the art direction of the advertising agency Adam&EveDDB. The idea was to create a pattern of car parts disguised as blooming flowers.
We kept the shapes simple so that the viewer would assume the pattern was made out of flowers at first. On a closer look, they would be surprised to find mechanical parts instead. We restricted the colour palette to warm colours. The artwork was used for Volkswagen‘s in-store posters and online adverts.
