Lugares hechos de silencio – Places made out of silence – is a mural in Tokyo commissioned by Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku, the creative heart of the city. The artwork is a typographic reflection of my time in Japan.
Their culture and the metropolis made me think about how places have a unique kind of silence that differentiates them from any other. And the silence and tranquility that I found there was particularly fascinating in contrast with its non-stop pace and conspicuous consumerism.
At the time I was also running the street art project Teddy invasion, see some photos from it bellow.
